Duplicating a template
Already have a template that is close to what you need? Duplicate it. DocuPotion makes a complete, independent copy that you can rename and edit without touching the original. It works for every kind of template: AI/HTML, uploaded PDFs, and Google Docs.
Duplicate a template
From your My Templates list, find the template you want to copy and click the ⋮ (more) menu at the end of its row, then choose Duplicate.

Give your copy a name. DocuPotion prefills Copy of {original name} , so you can change it to whatever you like, then click Duplicate. That is it. The copy opens in the editor, ready to edit, and also appears in your My Templates list with its own Template ID.
Your original is safe
The copy is completely independent. Edit, rename, or delete either the original or the copy, and the other one is unaffected.
Good to know
- The copy belongs to you, and starts with its own name and Template ID.
- Google Docs templates: you will need your Google account connected (the same one used for the original), because DocuPotion creates the new Doc in your Drive. Editing the copy's Doc never changes the original.
- Duplicating does not use any of your document allowance. It is not a generation, so copy as often as you like.
