Creating PDFs on apps with restricted access

This article discusses creating PDFs in Bubble applications (using the 'Create PDF' plugin action). If you wish to create PDFs based on a template you have designed in our template editor, please see other sections of the documentation.

If you're on a Bubble agency plan, or have restricted access to your app via the 'Privacy and Security' tab in the 'Settings' section of your Bubble editor, you may run into an issue where the PDFs you create with DocuPotion are blank.

This occurs because DocuPotion actually needs to navigate to the target page in your application to generate a PDF. If you have a login wall (like in the image below) that prevents access to your app, DocuPotion won't be able to create a PDF.

To allow DocuPotion access your app, you can add the username and password you are using to restrict access to the 'Username' and 'Password' fields in the 'Plugins' tab. For example, in the app below we're using the username 'testuser' and the password 'testpassword' to restrict access:

Adding these details to the 'Username' and 'Password' fields in the 'Plugins' tab (where you add your DocuPotion access token) will allow DocuPotion to access your app and create PDFs:

If you've followed these steps but are still get blank PDFs, feel free to contact our support team at this link.
